Research shows college students were struggling before COVID-19 came and changed our world and complicated our lives even more.

And, the reality is that we have yet to see all of the long-term effects of the pandemic on student mental health and well-being.

According to the Fall 2020 Healthy Minds Study Report:

  • Only 38% of college students reported positive mental health
  • 47% of college students screened positive for depression or anxiety
  • 66% of students “feel isolated from others” “some of the time” or “often”
And, it doesn’t help that college counseling centers are struggling to keep up with the growing demand (CCMH, 2020).  

These last two years taught us that we can all use extra TLC when it comes to our emotional health and well-being.

And sorority women included.

StrongU is a first-of-its-kind, research-based resilience program designed for sorority organizations, like yours, to offer to your members.

StrongU helps your organization address mental health and gives your members the resilience tools to navigate and grow through the stressors and challenges of our uncertain world--all while building sisterhood and belonging.

This program is developed from positive psychology and well-being principles and will help your members build healthy habits to thrive in college.

StrongU takes a holistic, proactive and inclusive approach. 

Your members will enhance their mental health, physical health and overall well-being, while at the same time developing deeper bonds with one another and a stronger sense of belonging to their chapters.

Gen Z Members Where They're At

2 Tracks: Self-Guided Track & Chapter-Track
  • Chapter-Track: Designed for members to go through together as a sisterhood during chapter meetings. Modules are facilitated by chapter leaders during weekly chapter meetings (whether they're virtual or in-person).
  • Each module includes short Micro-Lesson Videos to watch together during chapter meetings followed by small-group discussions with their Strong Girl Squads.
  • And, all in less than 30 minutes on average each week!

STRONGU RESEARCH-BASED MODULES

Module Overview for Members:
  • Each module includes a short Micro-Lesson Video, 3 research-based Healthy Habits members are encouraged to practice in their lives and a Downloadable Guidebook PDF with more topic information and workbook space to journal and take notes.
  • Every module also has discussion questions to guide the small group discussions within chapter meetings (Strong Girl Squads).
  • All members are given access to their own personal StrongU Account to access outside of chapter meetings and to participate in the Member-Wide Online Community.

STRONGU WORKOUT STUDIO

Your physical health is important for your mental health and well-being, which is why the StrongU Program also includes a Workout Studio! The StrongU Workout Studio offers an 8-Week workout plan with daily workout videos to follow along to in the comfort of one's own dorm room, apartment or sorority house! Members can choose from a variety of full-length workout videos from 20 to 45 minutes each and designed to fit into their college schedule. These workouts are for all fitness levels and can also be scheduled as sisterhood events or after chapter meetings. The Workout Studio also includes a Downloadable Guidebook with a schedule of classes and an introduction to exercise. All members have access to the StrongU Workout Studio in their StrongU Account.

You'll find me with coffee in one hand and a fresh-off-the-press published research study in the other.

My mission is to help national organizations (like yours) create a culture of well-being! I wake up excited everyday to help you fulfill your organization's purpose of helping your members grow and be the best version of themselves!

So, you're in the right place! 

For the past 6 years, I've traveled the country leading Strong Girl Workshops + Workouts for over 7,000 sorority women on over 30 campuses. I studied the Science of Well-Being under the leading researchers in the field and earned my Master of Applied Positive Psychology Degree from the University of Pennsylvania (the top program in the world!).

The StrongU Program combines my experience working with sorority women with my training in Positive Psychology, along with the most recent research in the field.

As we come out of the pandemic, your organization may have competing priorities, but you can rest assured knowing that my priority is to work together with you in helping your members and organization thrive.
